During a recent sunny Saturday’s pumpkin picking in Kent I collected the most beautiful collection of gourds, corn and squashes. With all these weird and wonderful shapes and colours on offer, a shoot just had to happen!
The concepts, designs and sets happened as we went through the day. We let the shape and colour of the gourds determine the backgrounds and tones we ended up using, with a little additional inspiration from Salvador Dalí’s amazing 70s cookbook.
This was a really fun series to create, brilliant team work and meeting of bizarre minds. A lot achieved in one day.
